Drug problems
What's the solution ?
Various efforts of various
parties to overcome drug problems are often experienced by remaja.` There are
three levels of intervention that can be done, namely
1. Primary, before the abuse
occurs, usually in the form of education, dissemination of information about
the dangers of drugs, the approach followed by the family, etc. Government
agencies, such as BKKBN, a greater role on the stage of this intervention.
activities conducted around the provision of information through various forms
of IEC materials directly addressed to teenagers and families.
2. Secondary, at the time of use has occurred
and the necessary effort to cure (treatment). This phase includes: initial
acceptance phase between 1-3 days with physical and mental examination, and the
phase of detoxification and treatment of medical complications, between 1-3
weeks to reducing dependence on addictive substances gradually.
3. Tertiary, which attempts to
rehabilitate Those who had been taking and the healing process. This stage
usually consists of a stabilization phase, between 3-12 months, to prepare the
user back to the community, and the phase of socialization within the
community, so that former drug abusers are able to develop a meaningful life in
the community. This stage is usually in the form of counseling, creating
support groups, developing alternative activities, etc.
Third attempt above can be
carried out in accordance with the problems faced at the time, if necessary to
the primary, secondary or tertiary.
In addition, there is also an
opinion stating that the adolescent problems can be pursued by the three
approaches, namely:
1. Approach Religion, to
inculcate religious teachings. Preferred not only religious rituals, but rather
strengthen moral values contained in religion and apply them in daily life.
2. Psychological Approach, to
identify and understand the characteristics personality. Recognizing the high
risk adolescent drug menyalahgunaan and intervene against them not to use
drugs.
3. Social Approach, by creating a
family environment and society positive. This can be done through two-way
communication, being open and honest, listen to and respect the opinions of
children.
The problem of drug abuse
prevention is not the task of a group of people alone, but our duty together.
Drug abuse prevention efforts are done early is good, of course, with
sufficient knowledge of such countermeasures. The role of parents in the family
and also the role of educators in school are enormous for prevention against
drug overcome.
